A day in the life of a home educator...

Well today was a reasonably quiet day for us and I think it is fair to say there is no such thing as a typical day but here goes

This morning we got up a bit later than normal (8am) and we spent the first hour of the day playing and eating breakfast etc

At about 9:30 we started work and played for just over 1 hour on reading eggs, after this we did a mixed activity workbook and did 10 activities covering sent ace structure, addition/subtraction, map co-ordinates, estimating, spelling and telling the time.

After so much time sat down we decided it was time to get dressed (yes still in pjs at 11:50) and go for a walk which we did walking to our nearest supermarket (nearly 3 miles) to get a few essentials and some scrapbooks for our history and project work.

We decided as it was after 1 to get the bus home and grab some lunch after which we played a game of chess and a home made Lego game and making a bird house before dinner, after which it was off to the last rainbows of the term, which is where I sit writing this now (play centre party)

So busy day, fun day, long day!

Here is the bird house
